Teams: 2v2

Requirements:

  • 2 solo cups
  • 2 ping pong balls
  • 1 table
  • 1 set of stairs with a clear shot from a landing to the table
  • A music device with the ability to audibly play Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven
  • Lots of beer

    • Setup:

  • Setup table on lower floor, approximately 5-10 feet from upper stairs landing
  • Place two cups on table. Fill around 1/3-1/2 of the way with beer
  • Two players from opposing teams will start on the upper landing. The other two players will remain near the table on the lower floor.
  • The players on the upper landing should each start with one ping pong ball

    • To play:

  • Press play on audio device to begin playing the song Stairway to Heaven
  • Players on upper landing may begin shooting at the cups with the goal of making the ball in the cup
  • Players on lower floor are responsible for rebounding for their partner and throwing the ball up to the upper landing
  • Player on upper landing may shoot as soon as they have the ball
  • Upon making the ball in the cup, the player on the upper landing heads downstairs immediately. The player on the lower floor must drink the beer in the cup and flip the cup (a la flip cup) on the table. Once complete, they should go up the stairs and prepare to shoot. The new player on the lower floor should refill the cup. Once refilled, the player on the upper landing may begin shooting.

    • This cycle repeats, with one point being scored by a team for each cup they successfully hit and flip until the completion of the song Stairway to Heaven.

    Miscellaneous:

  • If a cup has been hit but not flipped before the end of the song, the point does not count
  • Incidental contact may occur but purposeful interference is not allowed
  • There are no pauses in play. If your ball goes under furniture or you run out of beers on the table, play continues and you should get a better partner.
